About Me

Hello, my name is Tomas. I’m a freelance graphic designer based in York, specialising in outdoor branding and visual identity. I achieved my BA in Graphic Design at York St John University, where I had the opportunity to learn from an inspiring team of lecturers and technical staff. I’m aiming to begin a Master’s degree in September 2026 to further develop my communication skills and expand my portfolio.

During the gap between my BA and my Master’s, I co-founded a craft brewery called DOUC with three friends. I led the development of the brand identity and messaging, while also gaining hands-on experience in the business and technical aspects of building a venture from the ground up. At the time of writing, DOUC is established and selling regionally, with plans to expand in the near future.

Alongside this professional development, I undertook a period of personal exploration. I converted my car into a camping setup and drove from York to northern Norway, where my family lives and whom I hadn’t seen since 2018. Along the way, I stopped in cities to resupply and immerse myself in local cultures, an experience that deeply influenced my perspective and creative practice.
